Herewith the corresponding explanations to the LED codes from "RS/6000
Eserver pSeriesDiagnostic Information for Multiple Bus Systems Version
5.3".

It hangs with 518 on LED display.

Remote mount of the root (/) and /usr file systems failed during network boot.

When I try to enter to boot from installation CD in maintenance mode it hang
with c31 on LED.

"c31
Select the console display for the diagnostics. To select No console
display, set the key mode switch to Normal, then to Service. The
diagnostic programs then load and run the diagnostics automatically.
If you continue to get the message, check the cables and make sure you
are using the serial port."
