Admins,
I have a few developers which do not like VI. I was looking for an easy
X11 program for them and was checking into Emacs. I downloaded the two
RPM's
Emacs-21.3-1.aix5.1.ppc.rpm and emacs-X11-21.3-1.aix5.1.ppc.rpm from
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/p/os/aix/linux/download.html and get the
below error when installing:
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------
------+
RPM Error Summary:
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------
------+
The following packages were requested for installation
but were not found on the media:
emacs-X11-21.3
The following errors occurred during installation:
error: failed dependencies:
libXaw3d.a(shr.o) is needed by emacs-X11-21.3-1
libXpm.a(shr.o) is needed by emacs-X11-21.3-1
libungif.a(libungif.so.4) is needed by emacs-X11-21.3-1
I can't seem to find the above three needed libraries anywhere. Is
there a complete downloadable package available or a place I could find
all the pre-reqs?
Thanks
Larry
