Hi folks,
I am trying to update microcode for the cdrom drive on a 7025 F80. I
downloaded the latest microcode from fix central, as well as the genucode
utility. I placed all the peices into /tmp, and registered the genucode
utility into the diag catalog as per
IBM's instructions, but when I execute the genucode command, I get the
following error.
/tmp>./genucode -s cd0
Program failed with Return_code: -10
NO_INIT_ODM (-1) EXIT_MAIN_PANEL (-2) EXIT_SELECT_RES (-3)
NO_OPEN_DSDATA (-4) DSDATA_ERROR (-5) EXIT_SELECT_DEV (-6)
INQUIRY_FAILED (-7) MISMATCHED_PARM (-8) EXIT_CONF_DL (-9)
DOWNLOAD_FAILED (-10) NO_RES_DEVS (-11) EXIT_CFGRES_DEV (-12)
CFGREQ_FAIL (-13) EXIT_RES_FAIL (-14) RESTORE_FAIL (-15)
NO_DL_DEVS (-16) NO_OPEN_DEV (-17) BAD_INPUT_PARM (-18)
dsdata: IBM_____CDRM00203.06.0
drive: IBM.03.
Here is what my cdrom drive looks like:
/tmp> lscfg -vl cd0
DEVICE LOCATION DESCRIPTION
cd0 11-08-00-1,0 SCSI Multimedia CD-ROM Drive (650
MB)
Manufacturer................IBM
Machine Type and Model......CDRM00203
ROS Level and ID............1_03
Device Specific.(Z0)........058002028F000018
Part Number.................97H7795
EC Level....................F16560
FRU Number..................97H7610
It sure looks like I have the correct code, especially since there is only
one out there to choose from.
Any ideas?
Thanks
