Re: Where is ML?

I agree. There is certainly confusion right now about how IBM is releasing
its Technology Levels. I hope that they sort it out and make it easier to
obtain the software you need but hey, it's IBM.

I am currently under the impression that the CSP comes prior to the next TL
release.

One confusing observation.....

If you look at the Service Life Chart, SPs for TL6 go well beyond the
release
od TL7 whereas, the CSP for TL5 ended right when TL6 was released.

Also, I don't see an expected CSP release for TL6?

What's up with that?

Unfortunately IBM removed there "quick links" page which was what I
always
used to get my updates.

I always used this link:
http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/set2/sas/f/genunix3/aixfixes.html

That allowed you to easily get the fixes you need. Now that page
redirects
you to:

http://www-912.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fixcentral/main/pseries/aix

Select the product family "System P"

select Product "AIX"

select version "5.3"

select fix type "Fix Packs"

Then hit "go"

On the next page select the TL you want and hit GO.

That's one way of getting there but I liked it better before when you
could
select what TL you needed and what TL you were currently running and it
would allow you to download the file sets.

Is there a specific location on their website where I can look?

I don't see any in the previous area where they used to keep them.

Thanks!

I don't think that TL7 is available yet for AIX 5.3. In fact I don't
think
that the TL6 CSP has been released yet.

I can't seem to find Technology Level (Maintenance Level) 07 for AIX
on IBM's web site.

I had previously downloaded AIX53_ML6.tar.gz but can't find Level 7.

Does it exist?

I am at 5300-06-01

Is my only option SUMA?

Thanks!
