AIX and Citrix Presentation Server

Any experiences with the above combination? AIX is 5.2 and Citrix
4.0.0.49.Java is java14_64
from IBM. I can install Citrix Presentation Server, but whenever I try to
publish an application,
the following error shows in the logfile:
"Nov 14 15:20:18 as0001 MetaFrame(XML_Service)[4472946]: 8400574:
CTX0904E
The application /usr/lpp/X11/bin/xterm -e /home/b106364/kat_ausk.sh was
not found or is
not executable on this server. Users may be unable to access this
application."
It is a simple shell script which calls an application and works well
using Ciygwin/VNC/NX.
Even trying the example from Citrix documentation gives the same error.
Connecting to "http://server:{citrixPort} " returns the string
"ICA..ICA..ICA..ICA ".
FF saves it to a temporary file, IE 6 displays it in the browser window.
Citrix support assumes DNS/Java/X11 problems but has no real clue.
Searching the web
for "CTX0904E" returns nothing (Are we really the only one?).
Any hints
