you can do a HMC to IVM(Integrated Virtualization Manager) conversion.

All,

I have a p5-520 connected to an HMC. All resources are allocated to a
single LPAR. I need to move the machine to another location that doesn't
have an HMC, so i need to convert it to standalone.

Is there a way to do this without reinstalling AIX? Our IBM sales rep
said there is... there is some limited HMC functionality within the p5
firmware. I can't find any documentation on this though. Any insights
would be appreciated. Thanks.
