Mark,
You may be thinking 5.1. They just extended 5.2 EoS from September
2008 to April 2009. Which was kind of silly because 5.3's projected EoS
date was only Fall 2010.

David:
The 150 supports both AIX 5.2 and 5.3; however there are a few boot
options you need to be aware of
if you're using things like Universal Disk Format. Here, the best thing
to do is to check the AIX 5.3
release notes. Insofar as support goes, AIX 5.2 has been out of support
for some time, now.

The best resource is usually the microcode website. If you check for the
"Desc" of the latest code level and go down to "2.0 Firmware
Description" you can see if support was added for major levels.
In this case the 7043-150 is supported for 5.2 (until 5.2 is out of
support) and 5.3. 5.3 is only supported at FW TCP05287 and TCP04195. On
a side note, I think the 150 is a 32-bit machine, so, it won't support
6.1 now or in the future.
John T. Mills
TCP04195
* Added support for AIX 5.3.
* Corrected problem with auto negotiation at 10/100 speeds
for 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet PCI Adapter (FC 2975).
* GUI SMS menus replaced with text based menus.
* Enhancements to SMS network adapter menus to resolve
various configuration issues and ping test failures.
* Added support to provide response to APR requests for
Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) or other network processes that
generate ARP requests during NIM operations.

Does anyone have a link handy that lists which hardware is supported for
AIX 5.2, and AIX 5.3?
I'm specifically looking for whether a 7043-150 is supported on them.
Thanks.
