Re: Fiber Channel Card Model number and driver download

Hi Everybody,

Subject: Fiber Channel Card Model number and driver download

When I do lscfg -vpl fsc0 , it shows LP850S for fiber channel Model
number
But IBM has different numbering for Fiber Channel Models like IBM FC
6239
How can I match these numbers in lscfg ?

Also it seems drivers included in Maintenance level are only for
upgrade.
Is there any way to download the base level driver ?
We don't have AIX CDs that contains df1080f9 driver for this model
number.


Some background info, the FC (Feature Code) used in e-Configurator by sales when
create configuration for new order or hw. upgrade.

PartNumber and FRU used by technical peoples, typically CE-s (Customer Engeneer)
on field and plants.

Detail informations can be found RSinfo.pdf...
(for young guys :) the RS/6000 or RISC/6000 was the orig name of the
pSeries family)
