    Well, have you tried the usual suspects first:

    . Check connections?
    . Replace cable?
    . Rearrange your IDE channels (isolate ad0 on its own channel, etc.)?

    My Soyo KT400 at home is happy, so I don't think its afffecting *all*
    vias.
