    Are you sure? I was under the impression that to support hardware
    acceleration in IPSEC I must use FAST_IPSEC?

    Here's what the FreeBSD handbook says, on
    <http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/ipsec.html>

    "Note: FreeBSD 5.X contains a ``hardware accelerated'' IPsec stack, known
    as ``Fast IPsec'', that was obtained from OpenBSD. It employs cryptographic
    hardware (whenever possible) via the crypto(4) subsystem to optimize the
    performance of IPsec."
