"setrootbyname failed" leads to "ffs_mountroot: can't find rootvp" on boot.

    I get the same error (see thread From April 2004) "can't find rootvp".

    I am using a similar ASUS motherboard (see tread from April 2004), but
    can't boot off of SATA. (The previous thread was in reference to a 'da'
    device.)

    So, was a patch for this ever merged into the -CURRENT distro? (I
    cvsup'd yesterday)
