I found xl polling was committed to RELENG_5.
    Very good indeed!

So I have also tried to enable polling on another PC
with xl LAN and SMP, but the kernel compilation stops
    with:

#error DEVICE_POLLING is not compatible with SMP

Is this error message still relevant?

    Rob.
