For mxge, I have no easy way to know from the driver if the media is
10G_LR, 10G_SR, or 10G_CX4, just if the link is up or down. When I
integrated the driver in the spring of '06, we didn't even have a
10G_CX4 type, so I confess that I took the easy way out and forgot all
about it. It is now on my TODO list.
