No.
On the other hand, the fact that your OS didn't initiate shutdown does
not mean your hardware did not overheat.
You told us yourself that parts of your laptop have been deformed and
discolored by heat. Just face it: It's passed on. This laptop is no
more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker.
It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed
it to the desk it'd be pushing up the daisies. Its electronic processes
are now history. It's off the twig. It's kicked the bucket, it's
shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the
bleeding choir invisible. This is an ex-laptop.
