The pricing is really close.

I'm not sure the type of memory<->cpu utilization that mysql will do, however I can tell you that in a number of applications that do lots of cpu cache utilization, the 2x Xeon will knock over the dual-core.

I'd go with the 1850 (we have stacks of these in house).
