It would be a good idea to have the documentation (release notes faq, etc) reflect
that the kernel option to mount a cdrom on root / is no-longer
options ROOTDEVNAME=\"cd9660:acd0c\"
which is the way to do it in 4.5
but from 4.8 it has changed to
options ROOTDEVNAME=\"cd9660:acd0\"
rather than having people spend endless hours trying to figure out what went
wrong.
