    I don't know if they work in windows ;-) never tried, used them
    succesfully with freebsd 4.6 and on..
    freebsd shows me an array, which I control with atacontrol device driver
    control program..

    maybe you mean there is software on the card which emulates the raid,
    embedded in a microcontroller?
