Missing libpthread.so.*

FBSD 5.0
I'm getting missing libpthread.so.* error, so I copied it from another
FBSD box, and now getting:
Undefined symbol "__malloc_lock"
So I went into /usr/src/lib/libpthread and did make/install. I noticed
that it installed libkse.so.* but not libpthread.so.*.
Help...
