intel SATA raid

Hi list,

Does anyone happen to know if SATA raid is supported by FreeBSD 5 on a
intel server board (SE7520BD2) it would be nice if I could drop in two
sata disks and setup mirroring like this. Or maybe I shouldn't do this
because.. ?
My other option is, is to put in a 3ware 8006 pci card but it is pci64
and I wouldn't know if that will work fine in a 32pci slot.

Any tips, experiences are very welcome.

-Erik.
