Router upgrade....

Hi



I'm running freebsd5.4 on one of our main routers, also running quagga bgp etc.



I would like to upgrade the OS to 6.1RC1 to get the better support for CARP on VLAN interfaces.What would the best way be to upgrade with minimum downtime?



Here are a list of things I've considered, feel free to add anything you think I've left out



* prepare a new hardisk with appropriate OS etc. reboot and plug new disk in and pray
* prepare a new router swap cables etc. and hope no ARP cache problems arrive
* ghost etc. not sure what software to use



any feedback would be helpful
