when you run "disklabel da0"?

'disklabel da0' says 'no valid label found'.

Did you mean da0s1 ?

root@:~# disklabel da0s1
# /dev/da0s1:
8 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize bps/cpg]
a: 524288 0 4.2BSD 2048 16384 32776
b: 2046640 524288 swap
c: 142335837 0 unused 0 0 # "raw" part.
don't edit
d: 524288 2570928 4.2BSD 2048 16384 32776
e: 524288 3095216 4.2BSD 2048 16384 32776
f: 138716333 3619504 4.2BSD 2048 16384 28552

Looks OK to me.
