    Box A: FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE AP, Netgear MA401 (Prism) card in hostap
    mode, authmode shared -- this works with Box B, WindowsXP client but
    not FreeBSD client -- driver?

    The same Box B hardware (incl. the same Netgear MA401/Prism)
    running 4.9-RELEASE works with the above AP if I set the authmode
    in each to OPEN.

    If someone can explain, I'd be grateful, or at least
    simulate gratitude with all my heart.
