    Sound good so far.

    I suppose that the FBSD box can connect anywhere on Internet,

            ping www.yahoo.com

    would work.

    So lets have a look at your client configuration, I saw you have a
    machine 192.168.1.2, I beleive it can ping your FBSD box

            ping 192.168.1.1

    What does it have configured as gateway?
