    FreeBSD firewall.mikej.com 5.4-RC3 FreeBSD 5.4-RC3 #5: Sun Apr 24 19:18:40 EDT 2005
    mikej@firewall.mikej.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/FIREWALL i386

    em0: <Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection, Version - 1.7.35>
    port 0xef00-0xef3f mem 0xfeba0000-0xfebbffff,0xfebc0000-0xfebdffff irq 18 at device 18.0 on pci0

I got several of these card which I have put in FreeBSD/Windows machines.

Under FreeBSD 5.4-RC3 I can not get the card to run at GB.

If I put the same card that fails under FreeBSD in a M$
machine the card works at 1000/Full fine. The card does work at 100/Full in BSD box ok.

if I config the adapter like
    "ifconfig inet 10.0.0.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 media 1000baseTX mediaopt full-duplex"

and then do ifconfig em0 status shows "NO CARRIER".

Is this a know problem? The card is attached to a DLINK DGS-1005D switch. I have also tried
moving the BSD box to a switch port that a M$ machine is working at 1000/Full.

    Anyone have ideas on this?

    Thanks!
