Hi Simon
Not sure (because I can't check right now, I have the same system as you, and have had the same problems), but try this in /etc/X11/XF86Config
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
option "Protocoll" "MouseSystems"
option "Device" "/dev/sysmouse"
If that doesn't work, try to XFree86 -configure, your system might hang but you will get a file called XF86Config.new and in that file you will find how to config the mouse.
Your graphiccard will work perfect (my did), just download the freebsd driver from nvidia and read the readme´s.
Good luck.
/Mats
