    I,m probably not the best person to answer this as I'm a newby but I've had a lot of trouble trying to set up a geforce mx 440 I can't get it to run using the nv driver that xf86cfg chooses and as yet have only been able to get it to run using the vesa driver and then at only 640 by 480 so I've a long way to go, but this might get you started.
