    Looks like you got bitten by a recent bug-ette in gettext. I'm sure it'll be
    fixed soon enough but in the meantime, follow the directions below and you
    should be able to get portupgrade to complete.

    You have to
    pkg_delete -f gettext-0.12.1
    cd /usr/ports/devel/gettext-old
    make install

    [and do the hold_pkgs thing]
    as described at

    hopefully we'll be able to remove that soon.
