    Hi my newbie peers.

There is hope for those caught underneath. I started out with FreeBSD and found myself feeling like "DAG, MAN! this stuff is so hard"

But sticking with it, I have been able to set up my computer to better than half-way the way i want it to be. Running a UNIX-variant platform, Got japanese input working, installed OpenOffice 1.1, have Netscape 7, plus flash player 6 installed. There is still things I'd like to do, like getting my Soundblaster Audigy working, and watching DVDs, and a whole bunch of other multimedia stuff.

Keep up the work and before you know it, you'll be doing things that you want with FreeBSD

    Akbar
