    I recommend pure-ftp (pureftpd.org) for an ftp server. FreeBSD comes with a
    firewall called ipfw.
    The handbook (http://freebsd.org/doc/handbook) is a good place to learn about
    FreeBSD - its explained everything I've needed to know.
