The machine has 256Mb of RAM, 36Gb scsi drive and is a 1.3Ghz AMD cpu.
I've switched MAXUSERS back to 0 now, right now before reboot my mbuf sysctl values read:
# sysctl -a | grep mbuf
kern.ipc.mbuf_wait: 32
kern.ipc.nmbufs: 260000
I'm stumped, stumped like a tree!
James.
