    Yes, it's a 6 year old Gateway Laptop.
    I thought this informations was for new users of their port system.

    Anyway, I found a solution. I installed v5.2.1 on it. I still have a
    few errors that I am working out, but the Xserver starts fine. I'll
    start a new thread for them.
