lol, about the board member bike shed. anyway...
What he meant to say was that not all are part of the (current) core
    team....

"The activities of the FreeBSD Foundation are directed by members of its
    Board of Directors.

    Robert N. M. Watson, President.
Robert joined the FreeBSD Development Team in 1999, and has worked in
the areas of networking and security, especially relating to the
TrustedBSD Project. He has been a member of the FreeBSD Core Team since
2000. His day job is Research Scientist and DARPA Principal Investigator
at Network Associates Laboratories, the Security Research Division of
    Network Associates, Inc.

    Jonathan M. Bresler, Vice President.
Jonathan joined the FreeBSD Development Team in 1993, and served on the
Core Team from 1995-2000. He has been the FreeBSD Project's postmaster
    since 1994.

Justin T. Gibbs, Secretary and Treasurer.
Justin has been a member of the FreeBSD Development Team since 1993. He
served on the Core Team from 1995-2000. Justin has contributed to many
areas of the FreeBSD operating system, and is best known for his work on
    the SCSI subsystem."
