    Almost forgot.

    $ uname -a
    FreeBSD computer 5.4-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 5.4-PRERELEASE #0: Tue Mar 1

    (I haven't cvsup'd and re-built in a little while.. maybe one of you
    who have could verify the problem still exists..)
