Also, before you burn the new 5.4-RELEASE disc1 and disc2 iso images
to CDs check the md5 checksum to make sure the iso images are not
corrupted. If they not corrupted then burn them to CDs but do so at a
slow burn rate such as 8x.
On a *nix machine go to the place you saved the iso images to and type
in "md5 5.4*iso" and hit enter. For more info about md5 and a version
of md5 for windows see here: http://www.fourmilab.ch/md5/
Here are the hashes, if the iso's you downloaded are not the same then
yours are corrupt:
MD5 (5.4-RELEASE-i386-disc1.iso) = 3dbb37485535e129354bc099e24aed99
MD5 (5.4-RELEASE-i386-disc2.iso) = e4b748415ca783fce64cfafd6bd56f57
