Users unknown in jail, what to do?

Hello,

I've set up a jail and started it with:

jail -u root /path/to/jail hostname ip /bin/sh

When I tried to install a port inside the jail I got an error message that I don't have the mtree files. I don't know why those files haven't been built but I copied it from the host system to the jail. Now I get:

mtree: line 6: unknown user root
*** Error code 1

I copied passwd, master.passwd, group, nsswitch.conf files, too, but I get the same. Could somebody tell me how can I solve this?

Thanks in advance,

Gabor Kovesdan
