Out of idle curiosity, I dug out my old box of Zip disks (mainly consisting of
backups of an Amiga computer I sold many years ago). The FreeBSD docs have
an excellent howto for making UFS-formatted disks, but I'd really like to
format a disk that's basically identical to how it would have originally
shipped. The biggest problem is that I have no idea what partitioning scheme
the OEM-formatted disks used. Any ideas? Also, should I use any particular
newfs options?
OK, this isn't the most pressing issue in the world. I'm just wanting to
re-visit the height of 1996's technology.

Re: Winxp/pro creat restoral CD ... I have the Lenovo P4 and as most computer stores will tell you right ... You also have an option of creating dos BT disks.... (he also said none of the laptops sold come with with a restoral CD) ... (comp.sys.laptops)
Toshiba 3000 dvd drive problem ... I recently sold this machine that had xp loaded on it - there were no ...disks with the computer when I got it. ... wipe the laptop and reinstall xp but the dvd drive will not autorun the ... He tells me he has tried changed the bios to read the dvd drive ... (comp.sys.laptops)
Re: Bought a new toy ... I actually have had good enough results with Delta branded disks available locally, ... The only power sanding media I DON'T really like is the Porter Cable stuff sold in BORGS. ... I don't have a stationary belt sander so I can't comment on belts. ... (rec.woodworking)
