For the record, I just installed 6.2 onto a USB-only server using a USB keyboard. I can't give any advice for your exact situation, but wanted to say that it really is possible, at least on certain hardware.
A resounding "me too" here. I recently installed 6.2 using a USB keyboard. It worked just fine during install, as well as afterwards during normal operation. This was on a Dell Dementia 150.
Oh, is there any way to ask your BIOS to make USB keyboards and mice show up as PS2?
