No response on the rsync mail list so I am trying here.
I am trying to figure out how I can get my rsync client and server to coexist better. I am running into the following error:
rsync: failed to set permissions on "<filename>": Function not implemented (38)
What is the target filesystem? That kind of error can happen when filesystems don't implement all the features rsync expects, like FAT.
