    To the best of my knowledge it's a limitation in the way msdosfs uses fileid
    (which is a 32 bit quantity) although my knowledge of MSDOS-FS and FreeBSD
    file system interfaces is basically non-existant.

    About the only work around would be to split the disk up :(
