    Hi,
    usually I hate replying to myself, but
    this time it seems to be good news :-)

    The describe behaviour (see below) is
    no longer reproducable with the latest
    5.4-STABLE as of today (8.5.2005, around
    18:00 CEST).

    So thanx to whoever fixed this ;-)
