Hi,
I am trying to install FreeBSD on an HP-server with SATA controller. I
have problems detecting the Hard disk while it detects correctly the
controller.
I tried to use 6.0-Stable (cvsup 30/01/06) and still can't detect the
disk, here are a part of the dmesg (boot with verbose) :
atapci0 : <Intel ICH5 SATA150 controller> port .....
ata0 : <ATA channel 0> on atapci0
ata1 : <ATA channel 1> on atapci0
.....
.....
ata0 : reiniting channel ...
ata0 : reset tcp1 mask=03 ostat0=58 ostat1=01
ata0 : stat0=0x00 err=0x01 lsb=0x14 msb=0xeb
ata0 : stat1=0x01 err=0x01 lsb=0x01 msb=0x01
ata0 : reset tp2 stat0=00 stat1=01 devices=0x4(ATAPI_MASTAER)
then i get almost the same with the slave and both ata1 and in the end
no harddisk detected.
Is there a way to make it work? (hinting the kernel or whatever)
NB: it works well with freebsd 4 (no SATA but only ide/udma).
Thanks a lot for your help
