    Hi Rita,

We have already done the data transfer using cpio. But since the data is very huge we are trying to find out the easiest solution, where there will be no transfer of data.

    Anyway thanks for instant reply.

NO...you can not change the options of a volume group after creation.

    But what you can do....

Create a new volume group with the correct options and then restore
your data to the new volume group.
This can be achieved by doing a tape restore....or if you have enough
    disk you could:

    Create your new vg completely.
Mount your new vg to dummy mountpoints
Do fbackup/frecover to copy your data...
       cd /<source dir>
       fbackup -i . -f - | (cd /<destination dir>; frecover -Xsrf -)
When you have finished fbackup/frecover of all your data then umount
EVERYTHING..and then mount your new vg to your old mountpoints. Remove
the dummy mountpoints. I have found this second option to be very
helpful in these types of situations...and when you need to migrate data
to a new disk array from an older one.

    Hope these help,
    Rita

    Hi,

Is there any way to increase the value of "Max PV" for an existing
volume group, which we know is possible at the time of creation of VG.

    Thanks in advance.
