I solved the problem:
It was caused by some outdated lib-files, which where, wrongly, not
upgraded during the installation of an Ingres patch.
The patch seemed to be just partly installed. ??
On all the other systems the patch was completely installed.

and Paul van Westerlaak who finally found the solution.

Hello HP-UX people outthere,

I've seen a lot of nearly similar questions on the list (also for Oracle),
but not this problem:

Platform HP-UX 10.20, with OpenIngres 1.2.

When starting the Reports function in OpenIngres for any database it
crashes with a coredump and the error:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: IIUGlocal_decimal (code) from
~/ingres/bin/rbf.

We have never used this function before on this system.
On other platforms the Reports just run fine.

Anybody any clue where I can solve this problem?
