    Good Day All,
    I have a strange problem with an HP9000 Model rp7400 HP-UX 11.00. Logged in
as root I do not have permissions to change a users .profile. No matter
what I do I cannot save the changes. It just gives me permission denied. I
cannot chmod, chown, chgrp on the .profile either. If the user changes the
permissions to 666 then I can modify it but I cannot change the permissions
back to 644. I get the error Can't change .profile: Not owner. I have no
problems doing this on any of the other rp7400 running the same HP-UX. Any
    ideas what is causing this?

    Thanks,
    Jim Naylor
