Hello HP-UX folks,
I have two machines here running HP-UX 11.00. They are connected
to a Cisco 5500 series switch and on the switch we are seeing high
numbers of FCS & Alignment errors on the ports that they are connected
to. On the servers themselves, (via lanadmin) I am seeing very low
numbers for these types of errors (completely different story on the
servers)
I have verified that the servers are both forced to 100FullDuplex in the
lan device configurations and they are also forced to 100FD on the
switch. The cables for both of these servers have been tested and no
errors were detected. When I attempt an FTP transfer between the two
servers I am only receiving 2MB/sec rather than the expected 10+MB/sec
on a 100full-duplex network with very little load.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Does anybody have any suggestions for
things to look for to help track this down? Where can I get more
information? Any next steps appreciated.
Thanks
Matt Shaw
