Hi admins,
All our finance users sharing a common home directory/profile (/home/financeusers). When we create a new account using SAM, we do not choose the option of creating a home directory for that account.
Now I have to remove the terminated employees (finance department) account from the system.
I am thinking to delete the entry in /etc/password file. Is this OK? Is there is a chance for corruption on the password file.
Please help me with a script, so that instead of deleting account by account manually, I could run a script to accomplish this task.
another question:
Is there a easy way to tell a user is setup with password aging? (not using SAM)
TIA
Regards,
Balaji
