You have to do a vgexport/vgimport. You have to change the /etc/lvmtab,
which can't be done by manual editing.

No, the LVM data (in /etc/lvmtab) and the group "special file" IN the vg dir
are tied to the vg name (cq number, in the case of the group file). Of
course, you probably don't want to change the NUMBER anyway, but I never saw
any use in calling the VG anything else than /dev/vgnn, with nn the number.
