    Hi,

I guess I got the answer..but if ther is more please
    add-on:

    PROBLEM
An HP-UX server exhibited the following symptoms:

         * Performance is very slow.

         * A large core file exists on the root file
    system.

         * The cclogd daemon occupied 99.8% of cpu (per
    top(1)).

What could be causing this problem?

    CONFIGURATION
    HP-UX 11.00
    Subsystem - cclogd
    STM version - A.21.00

    RESOLUTION

This is a known problem with earlier versions of
cclogd that is fixed by later
versions of EMS and appropriate patches:

    PATCH OS From media
    ---------- -----
    -----------------------------------------
    PHSS_25843 11.00 December 2000 Diagnostics version
    A.24.00
    PHSS_24044 11.00 March 2001 Diagnostics version
    A.24.00
    PHSS_24045 11.11 March 2001 Diagnostics version
    A.25.00

As a workaround, the server may return to normal after
    removing the core file
and restarting the cclogd daemon as follows:

    # /sbin/init.d/diagnostic stop

    # /sbin/init.d/diagnostic start

    (then try executing STM).

    ALT KEYWORDS

cclogd is using a high percentage of cpu DocId:
    KBRC00008543 Updated: 12/5/01 1:50:00 PM

    PROBLEM
On systems which use the chassis code logging daemon
    (cclogd), like
    Superdome, N-Class, L-Class, and A-Class, the daemon
    will go into an endless
loop at a certain point, and use a high percentage of
    the CPU.

    RESOLUTION
Install patch PHSS_24044 to resolve the issue.

    Regards

    Deepak Cutinha
