    Found it!! We have an Email script that incorrectly setting a HOME variable
    that did not exist.

    I just noticed that I am getting some odd files written to my root
    directory. They are quite small but get written about 10 - 20 files per
    day. Here is a long listing from the past two days:

    If I page any one of them, they contain the text:

    [/]# pg 7235.TMP
    poll: The system cannot find the file specified.

    Does anyone know where these might be coming from?
