[HPADM] Summary - root console access (hp-ux)

    Dear list,

    Everybody kept telling me about /etc/securetty.
    The problem was pegged by Anil (thank you!).

    I had '@' in the passwd. Changing passwd to plain text made login on the console possible.

    If yes, it wont work. Change the password and try. If
    your password length is more than 8 chars, enter first
    8 chars only.
